Who is Dennis van der Meij?

Dennis van der Meij (born 1986) is a Dutch technical expert, entrepreneur and independent speaker known for his raw, practical and fearless communication about the energy transition.
He started from the ground up — literally. From apprentice to lead technician, he learned every wire, every breaker, every real-world challenge that energy systems bring.
With more than 10 years of experience designing, engineering, and integrating solar and battery storage systems, Dennis understands the transition not just in theory but in practice.
He founded Solar Engineering, joined the Solar Basterds, and co-created The Energy Theater, all combining technical knowledge with storytelling and humor.
He’s also the co-founder of Accuberekening.nl, a consumer platform that helps households make independent, data-driven decisions about home batteries.
